Filtering elements to meet requirements on power spectral density (99-429R1)

چکیده
This contribution addresses filtering requirements to meet the ETSI and ANSI specifications on transmit signal power spectral density (PSD) for VDSL systems employing multicarrier modulation techniques. It is shown that the specifications can be met with simple fixed filtering elements. Conformance with the various PSD masks is achieved by proper adjustment of the digital gains at the input of each subchannel. Such filter design is generally difficult for QAM systems unless they have a sufficient number of subchannels. __________________________________________________________________________________ NOTICE This contribution has been prepared to assist Standards Committee T1 Telecommunications. متن کاملInvestigating on the Effects of Random Irregularities of Railway Track by Half-Bogie Model
The vibrations produced by trains include two parts which are deterministic and random vibrations. Due to variation of dynamic loads and patterns of load-time, the random vibration of moving train is one of the most important issues in the field of railway engineering. One of the important sources in producing the train vibrations is rail roughness and irregularities. In this paper, responses o...
متن کاملSpeech Enhancement Using Gaussian Mixture Models, Explicit Bayesian Estimation and Wiener Filtering
Gaussian Mixture Models (GMMs) of power spectral densities of speech and noise are used with explicit Bayesian estimations in Wiener filtering of noisy speech. No assumption is made on the nature or stationarity of the noise. No voice activity detection (VAD) or any other means is employed to estimate the input SNR. The GMM mean vectors are used to form sets of over-determined system of equatio...
متن کاملDistances between power spectral densities
We present several natural notions of distance between spectral density functions of (discrete-time) random processes. They are motivated by certain filtering problems. First we quantify the degradation of performance of a predictor which is designed for a particular spectral density function and then used to predict the values of a random process having a different spectral density. The logari...
متن کاملPower Spectral Density Analysis of Purkinje Cell Tonic and Burst Firing Patterns From a Rat Model of Ataxia and Riluzole Treated
Introduction: Purkinje Cell (PC) output displays a complex firing pattern consisting of high frequency sodium spikes and low frequency calcium spikes, and disruption in this firing behavior may contribute to cerebellar ataxia. Riluzole, neuroprotective agent, has been demonstrated to have neuroprotective effects in cerebellar ataxia. Here, the spectral analysis of PCs firing in control, 3-acety...
